Food-grade steam without boiler additives
The minerals naturally present in drinking water are beneficial to the human body, but they can cause scale, deposits, or corrosion during steam generation. This not only reduces the system’s efficiency but can also, over the long term, compromise the operational safety and service life of steam-carrying components.
In conventional steam boiler systems, this effect is often counteracted by the use of boiler water additives. However, when steam is used directly in food processing, a different approach is recommended: the use of fully demineralized water in combination with a steam generator made of high-quality stainless steel. This allows for the production of food-grade pure steam without the use of boiler chemicals.
